Chives = Onion Seeds

The Chives have excelled themselves this year. They looked lovely as they bloomed and tasted good as well as looking fab in salads: the flowers, that is.

Then they 'went over'.

They may look a bit ROUGH. Especially because of the seeds deep in the flower, looking like specs of dirt.

Grab a bag - no, not a  carrier .... EVER!
 Shake the florrettes, head down into the bag. It only takes a moment.

QUICK AND EASY : )

Tip your haul onto a plate and shake. The petals will separate from the seeds;

EASY.

Pick off the petals ( they're not poisonous) and save the seeds to use in

NAAN BREAD OR ASIAN COOKING.

They keep for ever in a jam jar.
