Mulled Wine Sunday 28.11.10

As you will know, it's been well cold lately, so what better to drink than hot, spicy MULLED WINE?

All we need is sugar and a ready made spice ball. We've used ours twice so far and it's STILL got plenty of PUNCH in it.

We added a couple of things tonight. Next time we'll throw some orange peel in as well.

Our kettle holds a bottle of wine, (Merlot is OK, but the Beaujolais we used tonight was brilliant) which is no surprise as it's French. The tray is there in case it boils over. It never seems to, but this is only our third attempt at this wood burner method.

The extra bits and bobs go in the mesh cage that came with the kettle.
Don't be daft, I don't mean the bread rolls : )

THE FRENCH KNOW HOW TO MAKE A DECENT CUPPA!

Pour and drink

Keep everything but the wine, for next time!!
